Mobile Massage

Massage Modalities:

Swedish/relaxation massage: A massage customized to the specific problem areas to relieve stress and tension using a combination of rhythmic techniques that gives one a feeling of comfort and relaxation; like a mini vacation from the pressures of life.

Hot Stone Therapy: Experience a luxurious and relaxing massage combined with deep heat therapy. Smooth, polished Basalt Lava Stones are heated and incorporated into a massage. This is the perfect treatment to loosen tight muscles, to relieve stress, and to ease tension at a deeper level. Stones can also be used in conjunction with Swedish massage and Deep tissue to assist in softening connective tissue and contacting trigger points.

Sports Massage (pre and post event): Generally, a more vigorous Swedish massage for the athlete, but also can use compression, kneading and assisted stretching techniques when preparing for or coming off of an event.

Massage for the Frail: During the recovery process, massage can help manipulate the lymph, and stimulate atrophied muscles. More importantly, it can bring a general feeling of well-being to anyone recovering from or assimilating to illness. Long, broad, light strokes are used. This type of massage is indicated for the elderly, those undergoing chemotherapy or other treatments, recovering from an accident, or prolonged bed confinement.

Deep Tissue: This technique can be worked with fingers, thumbs, elbows, and hot stones. Using deep muscle compression and friction along the grain of the muscle; its purpose is to "unstick" the fibers of the muscles and release both toxins and deeply held patterns of tension. This technique begins gently and progresses deeply as the outer muscle fibers relax, allowing the second and third layer of muscle to be addressed. Great for those stress-induced knots in your back and shoulders, or your thighs after training for a run or a weekend of gardening.

Foot Massage/Reflexology: The perfect treatment for those tired aching feet that have supported you all day long. Each foot has thirty-three joints and thousand of nerves that affect every system in the body. When the body is relaxed and the nerves are stimulated, healing has a perfect opportunity to take place.
