I saw a Bobcat just a few weeks ago!!! Scared the Ba-Jeezus out of me!! At first I thought it was a big dog...then realized there was no owner...then realized what it actually was!! IT was crazy because it was in the middle of a city park, but the center is lots of woods!!

Deer are really common in my area, but once on an early morning run, I saw what had to be deer daycare- there were two does with no less than five spotted fawns surrounding them. It was pretty funny.

Glad I stumbled across your blog. Nice reading! Not too many crazy things seen while running,... jumped over a snake stretched across the trail once, though. Thought it was a stick until I turned to look back at it. Yikes! I am not that adventurous, I guess, because I opted to loop around instead of doing the planned out-and-back. Also have seen deer, wild turkeys, and bald eagles. Mostly, it's just me and my thoughts, though. Happy running!

There is a bald eagle's nest near the trail I run in the summer. I also see quite a few herons. Lots of geese, and I'm always afraid to make eye contact with them.

During my first half marathon we ran past a llama farms and I'm pretty sure the llama's all thought we were crazy.

I love seeing birds and other critters while on a run! Sometimes I see deer on my neighborhood run, and one time one doe "paced" me for a short stretch, which was a huge thrill.

On the Orting trail, starting from Meeker and heading to Orting, I've seen a pocket owl (near the Christmas tree farm) and a very bold coyote (near McMillan). The coyote kind of scares me, the way he isn't scared of us.
