Then Muscle Man said he was going upstairs to workout his arms.... So I peeled my overly SLEEPY self off the couch and got on the Treadmill. There is something about knowing I only have to do 1 mile to keep my streak going that makes me feel GREAT..
I started the first .75 barefoot...my toes started to burn so I put on shoes, sped up and finished my run.. Day #9 and going STRONG..
I could have used many excuses not to run and I ALMOST skipped it.
But I ran... 2 miles....
And I am glad I did...

Have fun at your race! I'm doing the race closer to Seattle next weekend- the 12ks of Christmas (and in elf attire). Should be fun... :)
Way to go!!! I ran 1 miles yesterday...for the streak!
Only having to run one mile a day certainly does make the pressure easier to deal with. I like how it took a lot of energy to get up and do it, but you ended up doing two! haha Once you start, one just doesn't seem like enough, right?

Are you trying vibrams? I want a pair for yoga but am uncertain about running barefoot.
I'm used to only about 5 runs a week so making it 9 straight days is a big deal. Knowing I only HAVE to cover 1 mile helps, especially considering how much I hate the treadmill!

My streak ended on Saturday when I opted for a long bike ride... but I haven't had a complete rest day in nearly a month!
