Summer came late

To the PNW... Which was FANTASTIC for the Labor Day weekend, it was in the 80's and amazing.. This weekend I....

  • Ran 3 times with Muscle Man and the Little Studs.. 3 miles, 5 miles and 3.1 miles including SPRINTING on the track.
  • Helped Tall Grandma (my mom) buy a new SUV, I sorta love the whole negotiating part, but not a fan of the waiting waiting waiting. The SUV is on order but once she gets it we will go on a trip to Mount Rainier because it holds 7 people!!
  • FINALLY bought and installed a chandelier to go above our Dining Room table, it looks AMAZING and our Dining room has light.
  • Painted over dirty hand-printed walls. Tall Grandma took the boys for the night so we went to work on covering the walls with a fresh coat of paint. Now if we can get them to keep their grubby mits off the walls :)
  • Played in the pool with the Little Studs and Tall Nephew, LS #2 called me Mommy Fish, I pulled LS#1 around like a Caboose and passed the basketball for about 45 minutes.
  • Had a Family BBQ and watched the kids PLAY.
  • Refinished our entry way flooring with peel and stick we purchased on CLEARANCE. A great deal and a project I helped Muscle Man complete. We have so much fun when we work together on projects. Next up?? Wood Floors!!
  • Cleaned the Antique Trunk from my Grandparents and found a nice place for it in the house.
  • Watched and Laughed at way too many episodes of "Arrested Development"
  • Consumed my fair share of adult beverages and milk chocolate.
  • HAD A BLAST!!

This was the weekend I needed to refill my sole. The time spent with my husband, boys, Mom and family was great. I wish every weekend was a 3 day weekend. I barely touched a computer and I didn't miss it ;) I have a few ideas upcoming on Tall Mom, look for some CHANGES..

  • How was your Weekend??

Are weekend was also full, lots of early mornings, but it was great! Jesse PR'd by 13 min at the Bonney Lake Triathlon, we got our daughter blessed at church, and worked on shirts for the autism walk!

Sounds like a wonderful weekend. We went camping and it was truly refreshing to be "unplugged" even for a couple of days!
Can't beat that family time together...no better way to spend time.

I had a great weekend as well. I was off Thu Fri and Mon and am well rested and happy again! I also consumed several adult beverages over the 5 days off, which is rare but nice. Spent lots of time with family, and did my last long run before the Air Force Half Marathon on 9/17. Now the taper nerves can begin!

Wow, sounds like a busy but fun weekend!

The boyfriend and I took advantage of this warm weather to go on a 9 mile hike to Lake Melakwa. We stopped for some athletic clothes shopping at the outlet mall in Northbend on the way back.

Sunday, I went to lunch with a girlfriend, we went bridesmaid dress shopping in downtown Seattle, and I bought flowers at the Farmer's Market on the way home.

Finally, yesterday, I went for a 7+ mile run and had a romantic picnic at sunset on the beach by the lighthouse at Discovery Park with the boyfriend (his plan!).

Sounds like a great time.

I love to do projects with my Hubbs too. It's nice to sit back and enjoy a job well done...together.

Our weekend was in VA. Although the weather takes so getting used to compared to PA, we are loving having everyone together. We got LBM bunk beds. He doesn't really have sleep overs yet but he and his sister do play a lot together (I hope it lasts!) and they will enjoy the beds until LBM is old enough for friends to spent the night. Great deal on them too! We swam. I ran. The fam walked. We ate home cooked meals. We watched movies and ate popcorn. Great weekend!
