A Long Came a Weekend

Where have you been Tall Mom? You may ask..

Well I went to the East Side of Washington State to Spokane. I went to Gonzaga University in Spokane so it is a second home to me. We were there for Muscle Man's Brother's Wedding and opted to make a long weekend mini vacation of it. It was in a word....

So simple to just spend time with my family not much on the Agenda but time together!! I fit in a Run with the Amazing Jess HERE which I will tell you more about tomorrow, but for today I have a few minutes to show you what we did.
Mini Golfing but we didn't keep score..
Got all dressed up, of course the Little Studs had to match.. What you don't see are their Converse shoes :)

Family Photo in the Church, it was a lovely ceremony. As the music was playing before the wedding Little Stud #2 was relaxing, so I told him to put his head on my lap.. he fell asleep!! SCORE!! I was worried how he would behave and if he would be quiet, so all my fear were unfounded.
How cute is he?? I sat calmly so he would stay asleep..
Proud Big Brother played Usher at the church then we relaxed at the Davenport for the Reception.
The HAPPY Couple!! They are Dancers and had an amazing Dance performance for their first dance. Muscle Man and I stayed on the sideline we are not dancers :)
Next day we unplugged, no cells phones no watches, a camera for a few minutes... and we just played. In the woods, at the lake, at my friends house, it was so RELAXING!!!

Family photo courtesy of the fallen tree. This was the Vacation I NEEDED!!

I asked LS#1 what his favorite part of the trip was and he replied "Being with you." That melted my heart. What a weekend! Back to my regularly scheduled running soon :)

  • How was your LONG Weekend??

Looking hot in that dress, Mel! Love all the family shots. Sounds like you all had a great time.

What beautiful photos! The sleeping stud one is so precious. You all look great.

I love visiting Spokane, but I'm so glad I no longer live there, as I did in high school.

I absolutely love weddings! How fun! And you scored with the little one falling asleep. Sometimes we get just the blessings we need, am I right? :) Glad you had a nice weekend.

Gorgeous dress! I totally went "aww" at LS#2 asleep on your lap.

Lets see...my weekend consisted of camping in the middle of nowhere, Mikes hard black-cherry lemonade (amazing!), and my first attempt at splitting logs with an axe.

Much less glamorous than yours, but still fun!

Looks and sounds wonderful Mel! Unplugging is the best! I so need an "unplug" time. We are heading the the beach this weekend for my marathon and there will be plenty of "unplugging" time! So excited!

You look great. Like others, I think the dress looks good, but I have to say, your hair is also fabulous.

Sometimes being unplugged is key. Great pictures!

I'm sorry but you're 6'0 tall and only have size US 10 feet? Not fair! :-P

I am 5'10" and am an Aus 12.5/13...just bought men's size running shoes becuase they had no womens ones that big!

Am married to a 6'4"...our two year old looks like a 5 year old. Poor thing got the tall and big feet genes!

Happy Running!
