Runshroomhunting

I lost track of time yesterday and did not get out the door for my lunch run until late. The cafeteria in my building closes at 1:00PM so I knew I could fit in 4 FAST miles and get back just in time to grab a salad.. I set out and felt great but quickly noticed a killer sideache, UGH!! But I pushed through with a goal of sub 8's overall.. SPRINT to the finish..

4 miles in 31:58 score!!

One thing that was a bummer is I wore a Running skirt which was a little big and I got OUCH thigh rubbing. I wonder what it would take to not have my thighs rub together? Is it even possible?? Who knows?

The weather was BEAUTIFUL!! Sun and everything, which has been rare these days. So Muscle Man texted me and wanted to take the boys to the trail for a run. Super I would still get in the 7 miles for the day. I finally registered to be a part of the local Fleet Feet Racing Team, Paul the owner HERE is an amazing runner, he raced to a 2:58 in Boston!! Paul created my Marathon training plan last year which helped me qualify for Boston. Anyhow I got my singlet in the mail and decided to test it out. I feel like a Real Runner, this is my first singlet as an adult.. I was a thrower in track in High School. I love the bright Yellow!! You may just see me racing across the Finish Line wearing this bad boy in the near future. And I love how it matches my Moeben HERE arm sleeves. We set out RUNNING the first half at a pretty good pace, then stopped Half way so Little Stud #1 could run. He did pretty well keeping a solid pace for .25. Then we did a walk, jog, run the rest of the run. I would run ahead then join the family, Little Stud #2 was always excited to see me run back. On to the title of this post. Marlene HERE coined the term "Runmute" for her running to work, and I believe it was Lindsay HERE who started "Runch" running during lunch. Yesterday Little Stud #1 found a Morel Mushroom while on our run. This is a BIG DEAL in my family, the first Morel of the year... We are Mushroom Hunters and have been for years... YIPPEE!! He asked me to take his picture and send it to Grandma, he was soooo proud. So I give you Runshroomhunting :)

  • What fun "Run" inspired words can you come up with??

You look great in your bright & flashy singlet! Makes you look fast. :)

Nice job on the lunch run and what a fun family outing later on!! B is so cute.

I love "runmute" and we also use "Runch" for a run followed by brunch.

I am convinced my thighs will FOREVER rub.

Total fun! Love the outfit! :)
Thighs....bah-hum-bug. Add that to the list of love handles, baby fat and sagging boobs. Mother nature is a funny little lady!

I love Morels!!! That's a beauty! Yummy.

We are going to need a dictionary of running terms. You need to do a post asking for everyone's submissions and then add it as a page on your blog!

My submission: CFE, Corn Field Emergencies. When nature calls and can't be put on hold.

OHHH, another one.

Biking Sherpa - a cutie who rides (because she's too lazy to run) along with you on runs encouraging you.

Cool! The singlet looks good! I haven't made up any words yet but i'll have to start thinking of some. :)
also i wanted to let you know that i have recently begun saying hi to people when i go running. I never used to do it but you always talk about it and it inspired me to do so! Yesterday, i made sure to say hi to everyone i saw! It felt great! Especially when they say hi back! It really put a smile on my face. :) i plan to do it all the time now! Thanks!

considering the fact that i do NOT have small thighs, i'm amazed they do not rub together. and i hope i did't just jinx myself.

Looking good Mel! Love the bright color.

Lil stud is adorable and I love how he was pumped when you ran bac to him. :)

I'm going to have think on the run word. Usually, I combine walking Cooper with shorter runs.

I heat up really quickly during runs and have to peel off layers. My running buddy calls me a runion (like onion). He's funny.

Just getting alllll caught up!! Thank you for all the shuot-outs and support - it means the world to me ;)
Loved this post! Your little studs are getting so big and cuter and cuter! Great run chica!
I think, in my honest opinion, you should find a full and train well - just like you did Eugene. If it helps, I am SERIOUSLY thinking of Portland in October - we could hang out and rock some PR's! So proud of you! Hope all is well! Big hug buddy!
