My Commute is

A MARATHON!!

Yesterday I clocked it and when I got home it said 52.4 round trip...

52.4/2= 26.2

What are the chances??? I knew my commute SUCKED but it is pretty darn cool that it is 26.2 each way.. I could run to work if it was not 80% freeway and well a Marathon, I would be pretty zapped at work and would have to get up at 3:00AMish to be there on time... Excuses Excuses..

I had a great lunch run yesterday including some speedy miles... wish I had time to write more...will catch up tomorrow :)

HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!

That's cool! Mine's slightly over that at 28 miles. Doesn't it suck being on the road so long each way?

How perfect is that! You may just have to run a marathon to or from work one of these days. ;)

But yeah, sucks to have a long commute. Mine is not much shorter. BOO!

When I breezed over this at first I was sure you were going to say you were going to devise a plan to run to work! I have a long commute too...sucky! Especially since before we moved my commute was 5 miles!

I would kill for your commute!!! I drive a little over 80 miles round trip every day but that's better than what it was before we moved which was 120 miles! Ugh! I would kill for my 2 miles to work, usually done on bike, commute I had back in Orlando!!! Especially when the weather is bad! Yikes!

It's fate. You are right where you are supposed to be. At least if you car breaks down you know you COULD run home if you had to. ;-)

Every since I started running long distances I look at distances I'm driving and think "I could run that." It's pretty awesome.

How cool!
I second Rose's comment. I'm always scoring for new running routes when I drive.

Love it! Destined to be a runner!!

That's a lot of mileage in a day! And, like Rose said, distances have a whole new meaning now that I have completed a marathon!

I'm not sure I would run a marathon before work, even if it was a better running route, but that is very cool!

Ha, we're always talking about running to routes to get home without getting killed......

that is craziness!

My first marathon was in Stowe, VT. The exit for Stowe was exactly 26.2 miles from my home exit in Burlington.

Only Tall Mom would have a commute of 26.2 miles. Love it.

My commute (one way) is about 29 miles, but I clocked it one day and when I hit 26 miles I remember thinking that that's an awful long way to run. Such a different perspective.

I do that all the time. Looks at the miles when I drive and think "could I run this?"!

As long as you don't get confused and pay a fee to get to work, it's all good.

Love it! This post reminds me of when my best friend did her first marathon. The night before the race we drove the course and when we finished we were like, "That took a long time just to *drive* it. Ugh!"

I always think distances seem so much longer when driving. Whenever non-runners give directions they are always so off..."drive about 10 miles.." when actually it's more like 5 miles. Does it seem long to you? lol
