To deal with stress I make lists, prioritize and then chip away. Celebrate victories, even if they're small, and try to get some sweating in. I may not want to do it, but I always am glad that I did!

I can't believe how many awesome companies OutsidePR represents! Now to figure out how they'll send me stuff... (being Canadian probably not, but maybe?).

I'm a follower and I love your High Five posts!! :)

MJ said...

I love the outside PR website, I just wish it had more info as to what they look for in a blogger before hosting giveaways with them.

MJ said...

I love love love the layout of the Ryders website. (I only wish I could afford a pair!) And pink glasses?? How cool for someone like me, who loves pink!

MJ said...

The road ID website is very user friendly. I already have some of their products, but I like that they offer multiple ways to wear your Road ID, and other safety gear as well.

Alanna said...

I'm not a big fan of pink, but I would love to get my hands on a pair of pink Ryders, preferably the Flange or Fray. They just look so cool - and I already know how comfy they are. :)

MJ said...

I really want the hydro speed from Go Lite (wish I had won one of their summer giveaways!!oh well) They have a great site and great products.

MJ said...

The gallery view on the sugoi site makes shopping easy. I've always wanted to try the Jackie Knickers.

Alanna said...

I'd get a wrist ID sport. I have an ankle one, but it's not super comfy on long runs. Right now I've got mine on my shoe. Also want a pair of the reflective laces.

MJ said...

GU! What isn't there to love about GU? Ok, I've only tried a few of their flavors from the basic gel line, which is why I'm a perfect candidate for one of their sample packs. Speaking of GU....I need to go order some more Tri Berry!

Aimee (I Tri To Be Me) said...

I like how simple and bare bones the Outside PR website is. It is very easy to navigate and is not filled with craziness!

Alanna said...

I had no idea GoLite carried such a diverse line of products. I like the Cross Timbers Zonal tight. I'm reminded that I really need to replace my tights this fall/winter.

MJ said...

Global Beer looks amazing, but it's not available in my area. Boo :(

Aimee (I Tri To Be Me) said...

I actually like the gory pictures on the Ryder's website. I like the images of the athletes, and I like how it is easy to navigate through the pages.

MJ said...

honestly, I use running to deal with stress. As for busy times, I am a list maker. I make a list of everything I need to get done, everything that stresses me, and check them off one by one. As the list gets smaller I feel better.

I am a follower and I just L-O-V-E it!!! You are such an awesome encourager!

Aimee (I Tri To Be Me) said...

I really like the dark blue layout on the Road ID site. It's a nice shade that's not too overpowering. And, it's easy to navigate and find the products I want.

Whitney said...

I'm a follower...member of your bloggy pack!

Alanna said...

I like the ease of Sugoi's website - I find the layout really user friendly and I like seeing all the products on the same page. I'm oddly drawn to the Jailhouse arm warmers. Also really like the R+R Knee High Compression Sock - need a pair of my own as right now I've stolen my husband's (okay for recovery, but not for racing).

Whitney said...

I deal with stress with the unhealthy habit of consuming chocolate! I also find that a quiet workout alone can help and helps to offset the chocolate!

fancy nancy said...

When I am stressed and busy I try to be extra certain I scheduling time to just have fun with my daughter and husband. Time flies away too quickly so I try to slow it down to enjoy the things that make me happy! Oh and RUN!!!

Aimee (I Tri To Be Me) said...

I like the opening page on the GoLite website that features different people in different situations using the GoLite products. I also like how they use the feature to scroll through products to find what you want.

Whitney said...

I love my RoadID and would like one of the newer colors available with the WristID elite.

k2323 said...

I am a follower and like that you are pacing TMB on Sunday. And, I wish I could run as fast as you two!!

Alanna said...

I like that GU has an event calendar. I'd totally look into races that they were sponsoring! I ♥ mint chocolate!

Whitney said...

I visited the Sugoi site and would love to try out the Esther Tri Tank since I love the shade of green it is pictured in.

Aimee (I Tri To Be Me) said...

One thing I love about Sugoi is that they cater to lots of different sports. I do triathlons, but I also bike and run and I can literally find something for each sport from their product line. It's awesome!

Aimee (I Tri To Be Me) said...

I use gus and chomps in my training and they are great! Although mint chocolate is by far my favorite, I really want to try the new watermelon flavor!

Alanna said...

I don't drink beer, but I've definitely found a place to take my husband the next time we're in Seattle.

Aimee (I Tri To Be Me) said...

Mostly I just go with the flow when it's busy and try to do my best to get it all done. For stress, running (of course), but I like making sure I have some time just to relax - reading or watching tv with Colin once the day is done.

kimert said...

Ryders eyewear has some totally awesome pink shades that would just look fab on me. ;) Never heard of that brand before but i am intrigued.

kimert said...

I like the idea of RoadId especially since I have been takign more of my runs outside and alone. Their site is easy to navigate.

Outsider PR has a great client list! I love that they work with bloggers but I wish they'd be clearer on how they select the blogs and how to be part of their giveaways!

kimert said...

Lesley @ racingitoff.com said...

Sugoi - I am itching for some of their compression tights or leg sleeves.

Lesley @ racingitoff.com said...

Love the GU and can't wait for the watermelon chomps to hit the shelf!

Lesley @ racingitoff.com said...

Pyramid Brew was a new one for me - doesn't look like any of their alehouses are near me, but it does look like they sell it at the Newflower and Whole Foods markets in Dallas.

Michelle said...

Everyone should have a RoadID! Love that the site is simple and straightforward. I have an Elite but might try the Shoe ID.

Kayla said...

Lesley @ racingitoff.com said...

That's easy... running is how I deal with stress. I run in silence... it's my time to clear my head, be without my children for a second, and just be ME. Even if I'm busy, if I'm getting stressed, I find a way to MAKE the time.

Michelle said...

The GU website is also very user friendly and I like that they provide such detailed product info. My one complaint is that I wish they'd let you order in smaller quantities - I want to try the new Watermelon Chomps and can't find them in a store around here but I don't want to have to order 16 packets!

I love to go running (of course), without music, when I'm stressed. The time alone with just myself helps me sort out my often overloaded mind. When I get home I've got lots of new ideas and solutions. And if I don't, I feel better anyway.

*~* *~* Tracy said...

Outside PR - I like that they're staffed by athletes so they know what they're talking about.

The website is easy to navigate and not too flashy or obnoxious.

They sound cool AND smart. They're blurb on publicity is very telling of how they seek to best represent their clients' interests.

*~* *~* Tracy said...

Road ID - it seems like their primary market is cyclists, but they've done a great job of reaching out to runners.

Adding the interactive ID was smart so that a Medic Alert consumer can now wear one identifier intstead of two equally important ones.

Go Lite - another company that looks like it began with one niche in mind and has successfully embraced other markets. Smart cookies. Another website that easy on the eyes and brain to navigate. Their Facebook giveaway this summer was pure genius. They probably reached a bagillion new potential clients with that.

Becca said...

Christina said...

Preparation is key to dealing with busy times and stress.

Many times, I know what's coming - a family gathering, reports or conferences for work, and fitting runs in. So, I try to plan accordingly. I will look ahead at what's coming and see if there's something I can cut out or move around.

Running helps with destressing and keeps everything in perspective.

Sleep is also important because Stress + no sleep = one cranky person.

*~* *~* Tracy said...

Sugoi - their stuff looks edgy and fun. I would love to try a Moxie skirt, but my running budget is deeply underwater!

Becca said...

I really like the look of the Ryder Hex sunglasses, I have been looking for something to wear while I run, but have been nervous about buying. I will probably have to buy a pair of these if I don't win! I like that this company offers a wide variety of styles for all kinds of activities!

Lindsey said...

Sugoi has a very user-friendly website. I've actually never visited their site before, only seen their products in other stores, I had no idea they made so many different things!

Crystal said...

haha.. okay, so you might find this humorous. I don't drink and so when I was opening up "Pyramid Brew" I was like "why is it asking for my birthdate to enter the site?" ha! Okay, I feel so dumb right now. Anyways, once I got it- I thought that was cool that they did that.

Crystal said...

busy times and stress?? I usually cave into food when I should be putting on my running shoes more often. Once I get out of the initial funk caused by the shock of the new busy schedule or a stressful event in my life- then I pull myself together and I run as much as possible... probably because I gained weight from all the food I was eating and stressing over :-) Running is great therapy.

I'm a tall mom follower. I first heard about this blog on RLAM and love the realism and trials we all go through as everything you have to be (mamma, teacher, driver, cook, parents, spouse, activities director etc.) and balancing what you want to be (a runner). She makes me feel like I'm not alone... (Thank you Tall Mom!)

TinaGirl said...

I love my road ID! I have the pink ankle one and made sure not only did our whole running group know the importance of having some sort of ID on them (since we lost a local runner who was hit this summer without ID on her) but also for my husband who is a Paramedic to inform other emergency services to look for it in situations where a runner or cyclist may be injured.

Oh I wish that I had some magic stress answer. I have not done a great job of it since school has started and I have been training for a couple of races. I think that one of the most important things is to sometimes take a step back and evaluate what is important. I also make lists and check off as I go along. Finally, it is okay to sit back and have some fun sometimes.

I love that Ryders has so many different types of glasses to choose from. I have a smaller head and there are options for me where other companies don't. They also offer different lenses including clear ones that are good for winter or night time running where I need to still keep my eyes protected even if I don't need the tinting.

I deal with busy times and stress by running! ;) lol... actually, it also helps if you take one day at a time instead of looking at the big picture! :D

I love the Outside marketing concept and all the amazing companies they provide business too. Could we add a hot sweaty member of the USA Rugby team? That would be a good addition even if it won't fit in the bucket.

I love the Black Mountain Thermal Wind Vest in Plum/grey from Go Lite! So cute and I've always wanted a vest (my hubby bought me a white vest from a different company... but with two boys and 3 dogs I knew it wouldn't stay that way for long so I had to take it back. :( ) This is the perfect color and of course its light weight.

I'm a follower and what I like about Tall Mom is that you're real. You publish the ups AND downs.
