Remember this BIG Pink Announcement HERE? Well I am following through I am starting my Fundraising to Support Marathon for the Cure TODAY!!
Why did I decide to raise money for Susan G. Komen for the Cure? Simple, the Race for the Cure in 2008 sparked my addiction to running. I was surrounded by STRONG women, survivors. If they could beat Breast Cancer I could surely get back my health. That 5K helped me find my way to health. And I want to give back.

Marathon for the Cure HERE is a program where you can run a Marathon to raise funds for Susan G. Komen to support Breast Cancer research. I will be running in one of the official partner races the Seattle Rock N' Roll Marathon. Thanks to the Seattle Rock N Roll race for their support!

How can you help??

Mel, I LOVE THIS! I knew you would do it with style. I'm so excited to get involved!!

I have a 30K race on March 28th... so I will either count that as a half marathon entry (if I'm allowed to run the day after?) or just do a shorter distance leg-loosener on the Saturday.

You are going to blow your fundraising goals out of the water. I have so much confidence!!

I am so glad you are doing this. I want to see how you do and take some tips from you. I want to run a race this year for the American Cancer Society in honor of my late FIL who died last year and our other good friend who was just diagnosed with terminal kidney cancer. You are amazing and I can't wait to support!
Count me in! I think I have a long run that day and will def participate! Thanks!
Oh, and I thought for sure I was going to win! Dagnabitt!
Happy Wednesday!

Absolutely fantastic cause! I wish you the best of luck! The blogosphere really pulled together to help me with Operation Jack and I'm almost close to reaching $1,000! Depending on how I end up with that I will see what I can do for yours as I will be rounding up the additional funds I do not raise personally. Cheers to running for a cause and raising awareness!
