Great giveaway idea!

I think the road ID is a must have for any runner! I want the roadID Elite.

I want to win that great water bottle! That is something that is on my list of wants for running.

Anonymous said...

My running essential is my ipod. I hate running without music.

Unknown said...

I love the Road ID products - just what every runner needs.

Unknown said...

Just visited the GoLite website. This is the first time I heard of the product so I had no idea what to expect. Being the girly-girl that I am, I was thrilled to find clothes - and functional dresses!

Unknown said...

Interested in the hand-hold water bottle. I've often thought about how there is need for one - but, then, I remember the good old days when I carried my puffer (for asthma) in my hand (in life before pockets) and how my shoulder would slightly hurt after my long runs.

I'd be interested in seeing how effective this really is.

Becca said...

I would like to win because these items would be perfect for a long run!

Thanks!
Becca

Mrs. Mom said...

I'd love to win b/c I'm a newbie runner and don't have any of the things that you're giving away. The Road ID is such a great idea especially since I don't run with my phone. (Pick me...pick me) :)

Mrs. Mom said...

My running essential is my Nike+ system with the sensor in my shoe and the device for my iPod for tracking my runs. My favorite part of running is when my iPod so sweetly says "Halfway point" and later "400 meters to go"!!!

Being Robinson said...

oh my, i'm lame and behind on this, but uhhhh i want to win. because it's great stuff, plain and simple! nice giveaway, i likey.

Oh, that GU is calling my name!!

Leanne said...

I would like to be a winner because I have only been running for 3 months and gear keeps me motivated!

Leanne said...

As of now my running essential is my Polar F4 HRM.

Sarah said...

Why wouldn't I want all this awesome stuff?!?

Sarah said...

My running essential is a good sports bra. When I ran the St. George marathon I bought a new bra to run in (never tested it...stupid me) and it was not supportive enough! My boobs hurt so bad by the end of the race. I was kinda holding them up while I ran...probably looked pretty funny (or sad, or scary).

Jill said...

I need a road ID!!! Someone needs to know who I am when I am laying passed out on the side of the road...if I don't win...well then that's on you now!

Can I please win?

Oooh - I need the water bottle! This is something I have been trying to figure out for the half marathon so that I don't have to make the water stops.

Kim A. said...

So why I want to win? Well, it's fun to win! Also I would love to give these to my dh. Even though I run, I don't run far and I run at the park near my van. My dh run long and all around our town.

Kim A. said...

Road ID is a great concept and they have an essential product. Even if I don't win won, I think I'm going to be pushing my dh to get one.

Kim A. said...

My running essential? I would say it's my cap. I think I almost always run with my cap on. It is good not only for the keeping the sun off my face, but for wind and rain.

Kim A. said...

I have not tried Gu yet, because I do not run that long. But my husband likes it. He likes how easy it is to use during a long run.

Janet said...

I would love to win so I can try to Gu energy product. I am fairly new to the longer distance running (training for my first half) and I keep reading about people using this. Now I'm curious!

saundra said...

GoLite- I've read your raves about it but had never gone to the site. I need a really good waterproof jacket and I think the Badlands Trinity Softshell is the ticket. The price however...think you'll be giving that item away anytime soon?

I liked the comparison data on the GU site.very helpful

Kelly said...

I would LOVE to win because I am in the looks for both a handheld water bottle, and I would love to try out the Gu!

Kelly said...

Just checked out the GOLite website, and I would love to get the tote and running skirt! I have been debating on the water bottle for some time!

Kelly said...

Checking out the RoadID website really makes me thing I DO need one! You never think that something bad can happen to you,but if it did??? I will probably be getting the shoe ID, that way it will always be on my shoe (so I never forget it) plus, I don't like wearing anything on my wrist except my garmin!

Kelly said...

Loved the Gu website. I really liked how you could click on each product, and even flavor to get the nutritional brakdown and values. I have only tried Gu once (chocolate) and am having a hard time with the texture...the chocolate was too sweet for me. I bought a few other flavors to try...otherwise, I may have to opt for the chmops! But I will definetly be trying those after I go through the vanilla and roctane orange that I bought.

Kelly said...

Just shared your giveway on my blog! http://kelly-nakamura.blogspot.com/2010/02/give-away_18.html

Kelly said...

Your giveaway had just been shared with all my friends in facebook land! :)

As far as MY running essential, I would have to say...other than my Garmin, my sweaty band. I have a huge amount of baby hairs (flyaways) and the sweaty band is the only headband that will stay in place for me!

Good day! I would like to win the Clutch, My Mom is a Breast Cancer Survivor and With all we have been through I am trying to keep my wife of 22 years exercising and health to avoid issues as we grow older. I wanna keep her around. I am unemployed right now, and cannot afford cool stuff for her to use, that would encourage her to run more often! Thank you! :)

Mrs. Mom said...

Just went to GoLite website, honestly didn't know what they sold. Looks like they have good products, kinda pricey but probably worth the quality. I liked the saying "the trail is my treadmill"...it's kinda the opposite for me b/c I can't run outdoors too much so for me "the treadmill is my trail" Haha

Mrs. Mom said...

Just visited RoadID and LOVE the idea! I love reading personal testimonies of how products have helped them! I am a total sucker for helping people do their jobs better!

Mrs. Mom said...

Just visited the GU website and I had no idea that they were so popular! I just tried my first one last week (Orange) and it was awful! Haha I'm interested in trying the Jet Blackberry and the Chomps. Also added them as a fan on my FB.

My running essentials are my Belegas and a hair elastic. I cannot run with my hair hanging down-it has to be up in a ponytail!

Catey said...

Checked out the GU site...I've never heard of the GU Brew! I have some other replacement type drink mix that I usually use, I kind of fell into it when the company gave me a big jar. :) I've liked it, but am very interested in trying the GU version b/c I love their gels so much!

Catey said...

Tweeted the giveaway! twitter.com/Cateydid

Amanda said...

You'd think after running for 8 years I would have purchased these essentials by now. Sadly, no. Now seems like a great time to step up my game.

Unknown said...

I NEED RoadID because I am a totally paranoid runner and it would ease my craziness just a little. I love trying new GU flavors I don't have to pay for. And you can never have too many water bottles!

Unknown said...

I want the WristID Sport. I have spent a lot of time on the site debating between the different options. That one just seems to work best with everything else I have on my body when I run. And I would have to get more than one if I got the shoe ID. I think I'll eventually get one of the little blinking lights too.

Unknown said...

Other than the water bottle, I almost can't resist the Manitou sleeveless shirts. I love the colors and am currently on the hunt for the perfect running shirt. That just might be the one. I was surprised how much they have on the site! I was thinking it was mostly gear, but there are a lot of clothes too!

Unknown said...

My favorite thing about GU and the website? That they are constantly coming up with new, yummy flavors!!

Unknown said...

In a race, my running essential is my Garmin. On the treadmill, my running essential is my iPod. And running alone (or with my girls)outside, my running essential is my phone.

runningforapurpose said...

I like any free stuff!!!

runningforapurpose said...

I love GU gels - haven't tried this kind but love vanilla and expresso

runningforapurpose said...

I would like the shoe id

runningforapurpose said...

I like the idea of the hand held water bottle especially in the winter...maybe won't freeze up as quick

Stacie said...

I would LOVE to win because any running gear and supplies at this point is highly needed and wanted. My husband always worries when I go running alone and I've wanted a Road ID forever. The GU flavor sounds great.

GoLite Website is great. I want or need almost everything :)

Stacie said...

Road ID is something I have always wanted and my husband knows I need. I would probably pick one of their more water/sweat proof items :)

Anonymous said...

I would like to win so I can try a new energy boost, have a new water bottle and FINALLY make myself safer on the road. (i like to run in the twilighty time of day, not really the best for safety.)

RunningLaur said...

I want to win, because I really need a RoadID! I've been putting it off way too long.

RunningLaur said...

I didn't know that GoLite made so many different products, I thought they were mainly hydration like the bottle featured here. The hand held bottle would be my most likely purchase - I'm planning on getting a bigger one for the summer.

RunningLaur said...

As for RoadID, I've been meaning to get one for the longest time. Deciding between a bracelet and the ankle style is the hardest part!

RunningLaur said...

Gu I use multiple times a week. I think that the Roctane almost works too well, and is part of the reason that I've been racing so well. How about that for an endorsement?!

RunningLaur said...

You're linked back on my blog sidebar.

RunningLaur said...

and you're tweeted!

RunningLaur said...

As for my running essential, I think it has to be my Garmin. There are so many things I strap on before I head out for a run, but the one thing I'd be most likely to cancel a run for would be not having my Garmin with me - I need to know the numbers!

Kerrie said...

All linked up at Mom vs. Marathon!

Jenna Z said...

The other items would be very handy but I have been wanting a roadID more than anything for quite a while! I have been tempted to just have a dog tag printed up but RoadID seems like such an advantage!

Jenna Z said...

GoLite outerwear looks SOOO comfortable!

Jenna Z said...

I really want a Shoe ID so I don't even have to think about strapping it on, it's just always there to keep me safe!

Jenna Z said...

Yum, I want to try Gu Chomps! I love fruit snacks!

Jenna Z said...

My running essential is my iPod Touch! It's go everything I need, music, stats, my clock and timer, email if I'm in a wifi spot!

Anonymous said...

I blogged about your contest tonight!

Unknown said...

I posted this to twitter!!

Unknown said...

I told some friends today about this giveaway!

Heather said...

All of those items sound great! I am training for Boston, and those long runs alone would seem slightly safer with the Road ID, and GU is always a good idea to accompany those long runs!

Heather said...

I posted a link about your giveaway on my blog.

Libby said...

I want to win because I really want to try the new jet blackberry GU and I've been meaning to get a road ID for a long time....maybe I'll have my parents get me one for my birthday

Libby said...

I also think I should win because I just got #333 comment haha...just kidding...my running essentials are chapstick, water, and a focused brain (I get so unfocused, which usually leads to ending early).

Libby said...

For the GoLite website: I was surprised to see how much stuff they had for hiking/camping. I like the way it was set up-simple and easy to find everything by just using the top drop down menu. For this specific water bottle: I like how it has a mesh layer between your hand and the bottle, whereas my Nathan doesn't. Although I totally wish it came in pink....haha

Libby said...

For the RoadID website: I felt a little overwhelmed when I first went to it- it seemed cluttered and I wasn't sure where to start. However, I love the fact that you can do the interactive style-especially good for people on the move a lot that don't have a specific address for a long time. You can also change the contacts, which I like. Another product I found that I like was the Firefly laces- I am interested in seeing how well they actually work.

Libby said...

The GU website is pretty easy to navigate. I am surprised at how many products they have-usually people just talk about the regular GU, maybe some Roctane and chomps, but I don't think I've ever heard or even seen in stores the recovery brew or electrolyte brew. I like that the brews come in single serve packets-good for on the go or big jugs. I wish that GU made a variety box of the different flavors of gels or brews. I am super happy that they made mint chocolate a permanent flavor-my fav!

I want to win this mainly for the Road ID. I am on a mission to win a ROAD ID. http://lisasepiphany.blogspot.com/2010/02/safety-while-running-or-biking-hiking.html

I have a water bottle, but I could probably use a smaller one for the shorter runs this summer.

Lisa said...

There are lots of things on the Golite website that I'd like. Although the rainy weather is almost done here, I would love their storm jacket for next season. I also need a new running hat and theirs looks really lightweight and comfy.

Lisa said...

I would like the Road ID ankle band, I think. I already wear so much on my wrist (Garmin, watch...) But, I am thinking about trying out the shoe pouch. I am always trying to figure out what to do with my car key.

Lisa said...

I just tweeted about your giveaway on Twitter!

Trang said...

I'd like to win...any of the three prizes. My hubby and I have been looking at the RoadIDs which will probably be our next running purchases. We live in the middle of nowhere, so it's necessary. I'd love the water bottle. I've got a CamelBack I got for Christmas but just can't commit to it. And as for GU...well can't go wrong there! Great Blog!!

Laurie said...

I would like to win because I would love to have a RoadID as well as the handheld water bottle. It looks awesome!

I've actually never tried Gu, but I've been wanting to.

I visited the Golite Website. They have a ton of cool stuff! I like that the water bottle holder has room for id and gels too.

Laurie said...

Visited the RoadID website. I like the fixx ID. There are so many cool options. I think it would be hard to choose if I won.

Steel Springs said...

I would love to win because not only are these running essentials, but they're things that I don't have! Thanks for hosting this awesome giveaway.

Steel Springs said...

I didn't realize that GoLite has tons of clothing options. I've heard a lot about their water bottles, but a lot less about their clothes. I think it's neat that their tops have a high UPF.

Steel Springs said...

I love the Write ID Elite. I like that it's rubber and has a buckle like a watch, rather than Velcro. I always get nervous that Velcro will fray my running clothes. I'm really happy that you can get replacement IDs so that you can update your contact information, but I think they're a little pricey for people who might still do a lot of moving around.

Steel Springs said...

I like all of the information packed into the GU website. I found the chart comparing the different types of gels really interesting.

I also like how GU provides different options - like gels and Chomps with or without caffeine - so that people can get what they need or want.

Steel Springs said...

My HR monitor is my running essential. I love knowing my stats and being able to see how my HR responds to different types of training or how it varies with my energy level.

KK @ Running Through Life said...

I would like to win because I need some new gus and have never tried that flavor before (or even seen it!) and also because I have been wanting a Road ID for so long. Plus, my birthday is this week and winning this running pack would be a FABULOUS present!!
