Stats for 1/26:
Time- 55:47
6.2- Miles
8:59- Pace
Work route, 4 miles with co-workers and 2 solo. Nice clear day.

So why you ask am I a LOSER? Well I probably should not tell you this...but... When I was getting ready to run I realized I had forgotten a very important piece of gear. Somehow my sports bra escaped my bag.. UGH!! I had my running buddies all lined up, and I did not want to cancel. So I did a little test jog in the locker room and thankfully my normal bra worked. I have the same issue as my favorite redhead Morgan, check out her funny post HERE. The irony is just down the road from Morgan, miss Robin did a recent review on those whose cups runneth over, if you fall into that category check out her review HERE.

Back to Running... I was supposed to do a Tempo run but Zen Runner and AC wanted to run so I switched up my plan (AC stands for Alex the Canadian, we played with nicknames and nothing stuck). We did 4 as a group talking about the Olympics including hockey and skiing, work and running. I have never skied, just another random fact for you. We sprinted to the Finish, I dropped them off, turned on my Ipod and went. The loop across the swamp bridge, I always wonder if I am going to see Kerrie. My knee felt a little weak, I know I need to do more strength training!!

Overall the run was a major success, well besides being sweaty the rest of the day due to my gear mishap (LOSER). Today is TEMPO run DEF, wish me luck.

You forgot your sports bra? OMG! Even if mine are now to big I just feel naked without one! LOL!

Here's a kicker: I almost ALWAYS forget to grab my running shoes when I go over to B.o.B's. Kid you not. I pack all my gear in a suitcase, I grab my pillows, peanut butter & banana for breakfast... and almost always have to go back inside to grab my shoes. I keep them in the laundry room and somehow they always escape me when I pack for B.o.B's on Fridays. LOL!

Yikes! I've done that and then have to finish my work day in a sweaty nasty bra! Doesn't feel great. I have also forgotten my socks and attempted to run without any and ended up with blisters! I keep several pair of socks in my gym bag now!
Sounds like you had a great run despite the mishap! Happy Wednesday!

Ugg forgetting the sports bra is the worst! I forgot socks one day at the gym. Not fun at all!

Good luck on your run :-)

After my AM swim workouts I like to do some strength training in the gym. Usually I put my swimsuit on at home and pack my workout gear to wear after the swim. So one morning I got out of the pool, showered, and got ready to change and realized I had no bra at all!!! I debated whether or not to just go home and skip my strength training, but I'm pretty small (breastfeeding two kiddos will do that!) and decided to just do my workout anyways. Luckily, there weren't many people in the gym at 5AM, but I was still really self conscience!

Yikes. Forgetting the sports bra. Glad you were able to still get your run in! Happy Wednesday to you, too!

Darn, I guess I'm going to have to buy my own Tutu for Seattle.

Ack, I have done that with the sports bra. One day I forgot both socks AND a sports bra. (It was summer, so I was wearing sandals at work). I ran anyway... it was not pretty. Anyway, glad to hear that your packing mishap didn't stop you either. :)

Good luck with the tempo!

Oh, and THANKS for the linky-love.

YAAYYYYYYY!!! I'm so excited! Good luck on the tempo run. I've only gone skiing once. We went in 6th grade with our entire class. We got everything paid for and got lessons on the bunny hill. We had to pass the bunny hill in order to go on to the bigger ones. I never got off the bunny hill :( Off to email you!

That is funny you forgot your running bra. I do not runneth over, but I do like a nice sports bra while running. By the way I think I may tell my American friends to call me JC now since I am Jolene the Canadian around here. I love your friends nickname. Where is he from in Canada?

I have never skied! I want to try. We need to have a support group for weight training - I have slacked this week. Good luck with the tempo!

Brave girl without a bra, but sometimes you just have to get it done!!

Very cute tutus, but there items are not needed at our house :)

I've run without socks, but that's about as crazy as I'll get! Go you with making do!

Yeah Libby!!

I sometimes forget my towel (awful) for my morning gym routine and end up having to use my t-shirt. The first time I thought of it, I was already IN the shower. How did I get to the shower and not realize I was toweless, I do not know!!!

I have had that happen where I have forgotten my sports bra when going to the gym and it hasn't worked out to wear my regular bra! It stinks, big time! That or socks, and wearing my dress socks with running shorts is not cool!

Tricia said...

I run with TWO sports bras. I'm still looking for one to work on its own. I'll have to head over and read those bra posts.

I have to say that I forgot my backup underwear! I was going out to lunch after my workout so I was taking a shower at the gym (and I have issues with underwear). So I tried going commando. I was so self conscious because my shorts didn't have a underwear liner. It was awful!

Good luck on the tempo run!!!!

Nice job on the run..even sans sports bra :)

Oh the things we don't share in bloggy land. Kuddos to you for finding a way and getting those miles in!!

I have forgetten it all...socks, sports bra, running undies (can't run in the same ones I wear after, yuck!), watch, headband, shoes! You name it.

My lord, where do I sign up for the losing lady-bits diet?
If I ever wore my reg bra, I would have to black eyes and a concussion.
I'm anal...I double check all my stuff and usually have double of socks, tights etc.

Even though I am not well-endowed in the bust-region, i HATE when I forget or lose or misplace my sports-bra. So much so, that I keep an extra one in my locker at all times. Once I didn't have one and went searching through the lost-and-found at my gym. G-ross.

Death and Back said...

I have forgotten so many things at the gym. Runners, waterbottle, lock for the lockers, shirt, and shorts depending on the day. I've gone to the gym in my workout clothes only to find out that I don't have a regular bra to change into and my sports bra is soaked. I'll go before work and I've forgot my work clothes.

That's funny about your sports bra! Hahaha. I wouldn't have a problem cuz there's not a lot there, but I would feel naked w/o. I have forgotten many things before - many. A friend of mine forgot his running shoes at a marathon once. He was making announcements over the PA for anyone with running shoes, size 10.5. I was dying laughing but it really wasn't funny. Small, tiny race (Park City Marathon) so not a lot of selection. Wore some innocent spectators size 10. Can you imagine?? *gasp*

Way to not use your missing sports bra as an excuse! And what's with all the boobie talk on blogs the last few days? :)

PS: I switched up my running days, so I've been in the gym on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I'll probably switch it up again when it gets warmer. Maybe I'll pass up the gym on one of these sunny days and see if you feel like running slow. ;)

sooo this one day I forgot my sports bra and thought whatever I got nothing to support so I just put on two shirts....I rubbed my nipples RAW!!!

I can relate and not relate! I have forgotten my sports bra before. I had just gotten out of the pool, so no regular bra as a back-up. Since it was winter, and since my boobs are almost non-existent, I tried it sans sports bra. The really sad thing? It didn't matter a bit!

I also just forgot my bathing suit yesterday. Drove all the way to the pool just to discover I'd left the suit at home. No back-up for that.Very frustrating!

Julia said...

I've forgotten bras before too. Thankfully, my boobies are small enough to run in regular bras. Usually when I forget something I just go home to retrieve it... boring answer I know... haha

saundra said...

Yep, I've forgotten my bra before. Thank goodness I'm a member of TLC (Tit-Less Crew)! But mostly, I tend to forget socks.

TiredMamaRunning said...

There's not much that I've ever forgotten that would impact my run much (literally...I don't need much "support" if you catch my drift :P ). One exception would be showing up for my 4:50 a.m. run one morning only to realize that I drove over to the meeting spot sans head lamp. I had to run behind my other two running partners and let them light the way, hoping that I wouldn't miss something underfoot by trailing behind.

ajh said...

I have also forgotten my sports bra - at the gym - so now I carry an extra one in my bag which I had to use just the other day. I forgot socks once but a very nice lady gave me a pair to wear! It is mega frustrating to be all set to work out and be missing something major!

Rio said...

Socks. And I survived.

ChristieisaRunner said...

I'm small enough that sports bras aren't necessary, but I totally understand the wanting something clean afterwards. I've forgotten underwear on a gym workout where I'd planned on showering at the Y. But as for forgetting running gear, does an uncharged watch and/or iPod count? Because not having either of those on a long run SUCKS!

Heather said...

I have forgotten my sports bra before too, but that is a deal breaker for me. I have the opposite problem as you. Kept thinking maybe they would get smaller after I got done nursing my daughter but nope, just saggier!

Melissa said...

LOL!! No sports bra? Good for you not using that as an excuse.

Congrats to the winner.

I forgot my sports bra when we traveled out of town for my first 10k. Luckily, we were staying with family and I was able to borrow one.

I hope your tempo run went well!

Since I work with preschoolers and nobody else but my husband seems to care what my boobs look like, I almost always have a sports bra on anyway. I think my most dreaded thing to forget is my sunglasses. I hate to run and squint!

Good job getting your run in, in spite of the wardrobe mishap. :)

I'm pretty sure I could run sans bra and not even know the difference. The worst for me is forgetting the Garmin. Just feel uber-nekkid without it.

Michelle said...

Oh my goodness! I'm not sure I could do that - good for you for going out and rolling with it!

I've forgetten pretty much everything before - socks, the other undergarment, I'm pretty forgetful!

Alisa said...

Oh I have definitely forgotten the sports bra but for awhile I couldn't seem to remember my SOCKS! I still keep an extra pair around.
