Time Flies

"And in the end, it's not the years
in your life that count.
It's the life in your years."
Abraham Lincoln

Welcome to all the new Bloggy Pack Members...once I can find 3 minutes to rub together I will be around to say Hello.. Today is a BUSY day leaving me little time to breathe let along Blog. Little Stud #1 is 4 years old today. Yes folks after nearly 20 hours of Labor we had a beautiful 9 lbs 10oz baby boy!! Time has flown by, hard to believe I have been a Mom for 4 years. When I have little time I do things in List format. ENJOY!!

5 Things I have learned as a Mom:
1. Love is unconditional and instant.
2. It does not take long to memorize a children's book.
3. Taking care of a sick child is both sad and utterly rewarding.
4. The words "I want to run a Marathon like Mommy." can make you feel like a Superhero.
5. Boys are loud, messy, and stinky...but the connection between a boy and his Mom is unmatched.

5 Things I learned on my Rain Storm Run:
1. A hat is 333% necessary.
2. People who walk in the rain are WEIRD.
3. Cars parked on the sidewalk will force you to tromp in a puddle.
4. Taking a week off will make you feel out of shape.
5. The cars passing by either think you are insane or wish they had the willpower to be like you... I wonder what the percentage is for each?

HAVE A SUPER MONDAY!!!

hehehehe. present for you! = 3 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) all wrapped up. with a bow.

1. love! interesting about the instant. i agree and disagree. i think it can also grow. or maybe it was always there and just matures?

2. reading your blog makes me actually excited to have kids which has never happened to me before.

3. you ARE a superhero!!!(ine)

----

1. HAT= absolutely agreed.

2. hahahahahaha. were they at least carrying an umbrella???

3. puddle stomping is not to be mixed with running.

4. remember- you aren't really out of shape, it's like "feeling fat" it's not real (well unless you spent the past year eating big macs, lol). i think it takes a solid 2-3 weeks to lose fitness, you just need to have a good workout and all the fit feelings will return :)

SUPER MONDAY BACK ATCAH!

Happy Birthday to your baby. I can't believe my oldest will be 5 this year, who knew 5 years could go by so quickly.

Awww....happy birthday to stud#1!! 4 is a great age! As for the running in the rain, I prefer to think they are jealous of the willpower!

I LOVE runing in the rain. It's sooo hot in here in NOLA most of the time. I have had people stop to ask me if I needed a ride while running in the rain, though.

9 lbs 10 oz! Wow! That's a big baby! Happy birthday to your "li'l" guy. As a mom to two boys myself I have to concur with point #5. Little boys just love their mommas! My baby (4 yr old) said to me today, "There a name tag on my choc-wat." "What? A name tag on your chocolate?" "Yeah, it say Cooper wuvs Mommy." Awww, it actually said 3 Musketeers but I like how he read it. :)

And I read this quote somewhere, "There are two types of people in the world. Runners and those who wish they were." I think it's true! Have great day!

Every time I run in the rain I think the same thing about people that drive past. Honestly, I think that most of them think I'm insane!

Enjoy your little one's birthday!

I used to think people who ran in the rain must have been insane. Then I became a runner and it's one of my favorite things to do!
Happy 4th to the little guy!

Congrats on the little stud, he's cute!

I think most people think we're insane when we run in the rain but I also think most of them are jealous because we're doing what they don't.

When I ran my first 10K in an extremely slow time I was kind of embarressed to tell people about it so I made fun of it but then someone said to me: what the hell that you were slow, you did it and there are millions of people who don't do what you did! I try to remember that.

When I see someone running in the rain while driving home from work I usually think: wish it was me running there and look forward to my next run.

Am I making sense

Happy birthday to your baby boy #1! Time does fly, doesn't it?

BTW, #5 on your RSR list made me crack up. I was thinking that same thing during my run on Saturday. Also, did you notice how it totally cleared up in the afternoon. The sun even came out for a bit later in the day. Dude!

Aww happy bday little punk! Yes I feel out of shape from not running much since the half. Time to put my butt in gear. Enjoy the Bdays. More fun when they are younger and they grow up so fast.
