Move with Speed- Balega

Stats 9/2:
Time- 23:52
3.00- Miles
7:56- Pace
Evening run with Muscle Man and the little studs. 6th run in a row. Pushed HARD to get sub 8 minute miles.

Welcome new Followers!! I will be a BAD commenter this week as I am SLAMMED at work and at home...So sorry :(

Last night Muscle Man, the Little Studs and I had a GREAT run!!! Our usual 3 mile loop with a couple hills and we pushed it hard.. It was my 6th day in a row running and my legs were feeling it. I could tell that Muscle Man wanted to hit the sub 8 minute miles and we did it. Sprinting to a strong finish pushing 80lbs of kiddo. Best time for a Family run yet...

I am working on my sidebar Menu...adding links to Tall Mom Product Reviews, Finish Line Gifts and Vendors I LOVE.. Should have it all complete by Labor day, be sure to log down and check out the new links and pictures on the right.. Next up in my "Talks About Socks."
From the moment you click on the Balega website (HERE ) you will feel the vibe of Africa...because that is where these amazing socks are made. I first found out about Balega when I went to shop for my first pair of REAL running shoes at Fleet Feet in Bonney Lake, WA. Once I had the REAL shoes I thought it would be best to have the REAL running socks. The owner, who fitted me for my shoes, offered me a pair of Balega socks for $9.95...seemed like a hefty price at the time, but now I know that great socks are worth every dime..
Those Blue socks carried me over countless miles and across the FINISH LINE of my first Marathon. Unfortunately the dryer Monster ate those perfect socks and I have not seen them since the Marathon.. (Maybe they ran away due to the trauma of the 26.2). Fortunately I was blessed to TEST a few pairs in the Balega Women's collection. Lady Ventilator (HERE):

What Balega Says:
Hand-linked seamless toe for seam free comfort. Mesh construction for added ventilation. Low-cut silhouette. Extra-deep heel pocket. Available in Pink and Blue.

Tall Mom Thoughts:
Love the pink color, very feminine. If you like THIN socks these are for you! I tested these first on a HOT day and my feet stayed cool. It truly feels like you are not wearing socks at all. After 1 washing the socks soften up and are very cozy.

Women's Enduro (HERE):
What Balega Says:
Hand-linked seamless toe for seamfree comfort. Mesh construction for added ventilation Extra-deep heel pocket. Cushioning for impact resistance. Available in Grey, Pink and Blue.
Tall Mom Thoughts:
I was sent a purple pair of these socks, AWESOME! The mid length and mid cushion sock is perfect for any season. These are a must have in the running bag. When they say seemless they mean it, I never noticed the sock rubbing or irritating.
Hidden Comfort (HERE):
What Balega Says:
Hand-linked seamless toe for seamfree comfort. Specially constructed mesh ventilation panel to keep your feet cool and dry. High tab heel ensures that your sock stays in place, providing for a comfortable fit. Extra-deep heel pocket. Cushioning for impact resistance. Available in white and black.

Tall Mom Thoughts:
I saved the best for last. You want socks that will stay in place, have great cushion and are hidden, these are IT! I wore these in my 10K because I fell in LOVE after the first test wear (And I secretly believe the socks would make me faster). I am a cushion girl, but I also like socks that are a bit lower. I have been prone to heel blisters if the sock is too low, the heel tab prevents the sock from falling below you shoe. Hidden Comfort lives up to the name 333%.

Good job, six days in a row. That shows your dedication. ;)

Socks can be so damn expensive! No wonder so many people have holes in their socks. LOL

I've heard the brand, but never read a thorough review. Thanks!

one of these day's im gonna make my way to a Fleet Feet store. there's one in Coeur D' Alene but it's still a 1.5 hr drive :S

what kind of running shorts are those? I've been searching for some with zippers/pockets, but have failed tremendously!

Thanks for the comment! I'm hoping that on the hilly hilly SF Nike course, I'll be able to at least get sub 3:50 next month. The BQ might need a flat course, but we'll see!

I, too, love Balega Hidden Comfort. They are my marathon sock. I've used the super cushy one and the really thin one that you reviewed. Both fared well.

I bought a pair of Balega socks last year at the Disney marathon expo...when I realized I didn't pack socks (same race I forgot to wear my timing chip, apparently I had left my brain in SC) Anyway, I couldn't get over how super soft they were! I still love them!

Balega Hidden Comfort are my favorite. They are $10 at my local running store but I often get them 3 for $18 (yes, THREE for $18) at the RunningWharehouse.com.
