Track workout with hubby the day after our 5 mile run. Fatigued legs.
I have had some interest in my weight loss tips the past few weeks. I wrote a post with some simple things I did to meet my "Personal" goal weight. If interested please click the Blog Posts "How did you do it?" HERE. I am not a nutritionist...my tips are purely from the perspective of a Running Mom who found personal success. Everyone is different and will travel a different path to health..
Last week we had the annual "Health Screening" at work. I kept my results from last year.. I was down 26lbs from this time last year. Here is a photo of me in August of 2008.Today I feel fit! I am wearing spandex without worrying about rolls and rump lumps. After 30 years on this planet I am HAPPY with how I look!! I am a girly girl, I like pink, bows, jewelry and all things PRETTY. I have been really tempted to try a Run skirt. On Sunday at the track I was lucky to TEST an outfit from Lucy. Lucy.com has some amazing and ADORABLE items on their website, click HERE to shop.
When we first got to the track we thought it would be FUN to have Blaine try to run a FULL lap with Daddy timing him. Here he is getting ready to go.. FYI we did not tell him to assume the position, not sure how he learned it. Guess from the Track and Field we have been watching lately. ADORABLE!!!

Mel you look AMAZING! Be proud lady! Love the before and afters. Am heading to your other page right now. Have a great day buddy!
Melanie - Love your story, you look amazing, especially in lucy :) Congrats on your fitness journey!!

This is a great review! I've been into Lucy but haven't ever bought anything. I was always worried that their tank tops were more yoga friendly than track workout. Glad to know they have been Tall Mom approved! I'm also tall 5'11 but I lOVE running skirts, I feel that most are just as short as running shorts =).
I will be reading through your old posts about achieving your weight loss goals. I feel like I'm always on the quest to lose those pesky 10 lbs.
I <3 running skirts!!! They are my fave - so comfy & don't ride up the way shorts do on me. You look super cute!! :)
i love running skirts too, which surprised me cuz i'm not such a big fan of shorts. Great!
I only run in skorts! They are the most comfy things to run in. I, too, am such a girly girl. I'm happy skorts are hanging around the circuit still.
I will check out Lucy. Especially considering that is my favorite name in the whole wide world. ;)
i ordered once from lucy.com and i was disappointed because my order got canceled because they didnt have any of the items in stock. when i went back to place another order they still had the same 'out of stock' items...so that wasnt a really good first impression...
ive been meaning to ask you where you got your long running pants that you wore to the snoqualmie run. im 5'8" and all legs and many/majority of the running pants out there are too short for me.
You are AMAZING, and your before/after pics are crazy! Haha, I have yet to try a running skirt, since they kind of intimidate me, but maybe I will soon! Good job on your intervals :)
Way to go on the weight loss! You look lovely.
Has it improved your speed?
I know what you mean about being careful with leg in the running skorts. I'm only 5'6," but I'm all legs (35" inseam). I'll have to try those Lucy ones.
Love, love, love the running skirt!! To be honest, I've never heard of Lucy, so I will be checking out the website! You look totally awesome and the before and after, wow!, you should be so proud!!!
I have never run in a running skirt as lately I have been running in the Nike Tempo Running Shorts w/ built in briefs, but after seeing how oh so cute you look, I might just have to give them a try!!!
You look great! Good for you. And yes, that's a whole lotta leg, but you are rockin' it. :o)
You look so amazing, Mel. Seriously! That outfit looks awesome on you. Thanks for sharing and great work on some SPEEDY intervals!
nice job on the intervals and you look GREAT in that skirt. i love me a good running skirt, i only have the one, but i LOVE it!
oh and i totally appreciate that so far you are the only one who has gotten the "60% of the time" thing! i knew we clicked for a reason ;)
Very nice!! Not sure I could rock the skirt!
ohhh melsie! you just made my day. i really hope we can run a race together someday... you should still consider OKC my friend :) and really wichita isn't so bad... if you love Oz you will surely love kansas! there are some good races here.
you look incredible!!!
You look fantastic! How is the skirt for the tall girl?
BTW you look fantastic in your running skirt. I've tried some on but never have seen a point to wearing one while I run. I dunno... maybe one day I'll buy one!
You are just too cute!
OH! Love that picture of you running and smiling at the camera! You are gorgeous!!
makes you look uber skinny! I need to get someone to take pics of me running!
lookin' good! woot!
I need to lose a few more pounds so I can fit into my running skirts again..
