Just saw your blog link on about three billion other blogs, okay, that may be an exaggeration, so I popped over.

Love your energy, Happy 4th of July! I'm now going to go and snoop around my 3 Gemz.

I do feel very off when I can't run, but I will admit that I'm looking forward to my taper next week :)

I do miss running when I take a day off but it is good for you! I took yesterday off and then ran today and felt great on the run so it turned out good!

I always run 4 days a week, which is perfect for me, especially since I'm in marathon training mode. A couple of weeks ago I could only run 2 days...man, did I feel guilty! Sorry I've missed commenting on your blog recently...by the way, you and Shelby look alike, You gals could be mistaken for sisters! One last time, Mel. You did GREAT for your first marathon. Don't you love the cool "bling" you get?!!

I hate days off and especially multiple forced days off! I have always had a hard time getting in a quality run during a workday, anyways given the weather and my silly science experiments. Missing more than one makes getting back into the groove that much more difficult!

But... Post-marathon days off are necessary to heal the body and mind. Perhaps some cross-training? Not that I'm biased-as a former swimmer-but I'm a big fan of swimming. :o)
