M day Forecast...

Yes folks RAIN is in the forecast. I live in Seattle so it should not be a big shock, but we have had AMAZING weather the past few weeks, my hopes were high for race day. The Weather Man is not always correct, after all he did not predict the snow in April. This does, however, change my plan for attire on race day. I know you are all anxiously awaiting photos of my chosen ensemble, will get those ASAP.. I don't think I want to wear long sleeves, but will see...hmmmm decisions decisions.

I just printed out my pace chart for a 3:39 finish and laminated it with packing tape, thanks for the advice Aron!! I know some of you are worried I will be disappointed if I don't qualify for Boston. If a BQ does not happen you will NOT see me with a sour face at the Finish line. My dimples will be in full effect regardless of what the race clock says... As an athlete I set my goals HIGH and always have.

Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars."

"Attempt to qualify for Boston.
If you come up short,
you will have a great TIME."

3 out of the 5 marathons I have run were in rain. I have to say, I prefer the rain to heat.

Great attitude about your finishing time!

My first marathon was in the rain. Remember this helpful hint: Wear a big plastic garbage bag over your running apparel until the race starts. I unfortunately forgot that helpful hint, and was soaking wet for the entire run. I hope you do well. Good luck with the BQ, and most importantly HAVE FUN!

I just did a marathon in the rain, and I was fine. Just keep you A mental game going. A little sprinkle might actually be refreshing!

Well, I ran my HM in the rain and it was actually kind of nice - kept us cool! ;) I've kept up with your blog for awhile, so I know you have ran in ALL kinds of weather, so you'll be prepared no matter what! At least the temps won't be in the 90's (like they are here right now...). :) GOOD LUCK!!!! That's a hell of a pace - go you!!!

Love your quote!

And, hey, you never know. It might not rain. It might be perfect weather. Let's hope!

Lora has been keeping me up to date on your progress as I too am running the Half this year (as a rookie) - great job on the training!

I have to say I've gotten used to running in our cooler weather and am really struggling with runs on the warmer days (I typically run in the evenings), so I am looking forward to the forecasted lower temps for Saturday.

Good luck on on the Full and your BQ!
