Uh Oh!!

My boss, LOVE HER, lobbied for me to assist with an event in Vancouver Canada in early June. After a quick chat with Liz, the lovely British lady in the office (I ALWAYS want to imitate her accent it is too cool) I had the travel dates and returned to check my calendar. Although I have started the 16 week Marathon training plan, I am registered for the Rock and Roll 1/2 Marathon on June 27th. I will decide in a few weeks which distance I will tackle ( I found out it is just $20 to upgrade), my decision is dependent upon my knee and how I hold up during the training.

So I wrote the dates on my daily planner, then took a quick look at my training plan (see below). So the day that I am slated to arrive in Vancouver to work the event the plan is to run 20 MILES. WHAT?!?! I freaked out and IM'd Shelby (I love interoffice IM saves me life). I told her of my dilemma, and always the partner, she had a QUICK solution. Apparently she knows Vancouver a little and offered Stanley park for my LONG run. I could arrive early, run the 20 in Stanley park, have a quick rest, and show up refreshed to unpack the shipment. It could work? Right? Or maybe I will just do the half and run 12 miles that day? Decisions...Decisions...

Does anyone know about running in Stanley Park?
The Sea Path looks very pretty!!

My "Rookie" plan. What do you think??
